This final album was recorded shortly before his death and only a few
tracks were completed. It is obvious from the sound quality that some
tracks were recorded at home - the piano is not properly miked up - and
more work ought to have been done before release. However, it shows the
route that Tim was taking and the desire to get back into the public
eye.
The title track was subsequently recorded by Joe Cocker and released as a single. Although the album has never made it to CD (and probably never will), the title track is available on the Polydor compilation CD Black Sheep Boy. Tracks have also made it onto the various artists CDs The San Francisco Sound: Then & Now, Vols 1 & 2. |
