A Best of album put out by Verve after Tim moved to Columbia. It features tracks from the first two albums. The running time was less than half an hour, suggesting that this was designed to take away the impact from the release of a studio album - possibly Bird on a Wire. Renamed Archetypes in 1974, it was reissued on MGM (M3F-4952) |
Album released shortly after Tim's death, whether as a genuine memorial to his work or as a quick cash-in on the publicity surrounding his demise. Ironically, the liner notes express regret that his passing was overshadowed by the murder of John Lennon and the album probably didn't get the sales that it might have done. |
Another release following on from Tim's death, this time compiling some of the best material recorded for CBS/Columbia. Tracks 1, 3, 4 & 8 taken from Suite for Susan Moore Tracks 2, 6, 9 &10 taken from Bird on a Wire Tracks 5 & 7 taken from Painted Head |
